As an experienced coach + athlete i thought i'd know how to coach myself...
Training during pregnancy and postpartum couldn’t be THAT different, right? We were MADE FOR THIS. I was driven by ego, but also ignorance to the wide variety of considerations.  Honesty, I did not know what the considerations even were

I was athletic, experienced and felt fine through my whole pregnancy. At that time, we had extremes...from don’t lift heavy, do yoga or walk, to “do what you’ve always done!” “train for birth!” and “be a badass.”
Of course I gravitated to, "do what you've always done!"
An emergency cesarean section and a significant diastasis opened my eyes to that fact that I couldn’t control everything, and that I had a LOT to learn about my body and training during these seasons as both an athlete and coach
I spent the next several years learning, creating and testing as a coach (and personally), to pass on to others like me. I knew I wasn’t alone, and hundreds of messages and emails confirmed that this was in fact, a very misguided and overlooked population of people who NEEDED better info, guidance and training.
I've created programs and resources for athletes, coached many high level athletes through pregnancy and postpartum, but I knew the greatest impact would come from educating coaches and practitioners through evidenced based, yet easily applicable and creative coaching curriculum.
Coaches are the TRUE influencers, and can help guide athletes during this season in their lifetime of athleticism

Have you Noticed?

Clients Who Pee During Workouts
Whether its a line out the bathroom door before a class workout or clients communicating symptoms with running, jumping, or heavy lifting.

Incontinence is a symptom that shouldn't be ignored by coaches or athletes. There is actually SO MUCH that can be done to help clients experiencing these symptoms.
Diastasis Recti
In recent years there has much attention and awareness around diastasis recti. This is the naturally separation of the abdominal muscles at the linea alba.

Increased awareness is good, but with that comes misinformation, obsession, and fear mongering.

When coaches see doming or coning of the abdomen they may judge that exercise as unsafe, but understanding diastasis is more than safe vs unsafe exercises.

Coning is just one source of feedback for the individual but there are many other variables that influence diastasis.
Women Leaving Your Gym During Their Pregnancy Or Postpartum Chapters
Pregnant and postpartum athletes want quality guidance and to feel supported during these chapters of their athleticism. When they don't get that, they leave.

Coaches and gym owners have a tremendous opportunity to retain customers and even grow their client base when they can support their pregnant + postpartum clients before, between, and beyond babies
Confusion About How To Program Exercise For Pregnant + Postpartum Clients?
Beyond not programming ab exercises you've struggled to know what exercises your pregnant clients can do or not do.

Being "cleared" postpartum does not mean that you or a client are healed and ready to resume training normally.

Module 2: Athlete Mindset & Fitness Culture

Athletes have a special mindset that is often misunderstood. Module 2 exists for that reason.

Module 5: Coaching Considerations

We must understand the basic principles of fitness before we begin designing programs and coaching athletes during pregnancy and postpartum.

In Module 5 you’ll learn the basics of program design and all encompassing coaching considerations.

Our goal here is to get you feeling confident in applying these principles to your coaching and to know how to apply appropriate progressive overload and deload practices for your athletes.

Module 6: Pregnancy Athleticism

Pregnancy is a temporary chapter that brings with it many considerations from structural to physiological - not just movement modifications and choices.

In this module you’ll discover how to coach a pregnant athlete beyond modifications (or telling her to "listen to her body").

✔️ The 7 key guidelines coaches must know when working with pregnant clients.

Module 7: Postpartum Athleticism

Coaches are often the first to see a new mom in a fitness setting and we have to act as the first line of defense, a quality guiding voice, and a resource for recovering and reintegrating.

In this module, you’ll learn how to approach training in the postpartum chapter as well as knowing how to progress, regress, adapt, and lead her toward improved function and performance.

Highlights Include:

✔️ What being “cleared” does and does not mean for your client

Module 8: Motherhood Considerations

There are so many components of motherhood that impact fitness, health, and overall well being.

As coaches, we must recognize that our influence and education can extend beyond providing workouts and exercises.

In this module, you’ll learn to address a mother holistically and understand how to guide conversations around weight loss/gain, mental health, social media, hormones, and body image within your given scope of practice.

Highlights Include:

✔️ The scope of practice for a coach, when and how to refer out.
✔️ How to address fitness after a miscarriage or pregnancy loss
✔️ The considerations for supporting and empowering tactical athletes who must return to full-duty and meet body composition standards.
✔️ Interviews with an R.D., family therapist, and physical therapist

Module 9: Taking Action

It’s time to take what you know and apply it in a way that works for your life and your coaching style.

Maybe you’re a brand new coach or a seasoned one looking to expand. This module you’ll find out how to take action in your community with presence and passion while learning the keys to implementation and connection.

Highlights Include:

✔️ Crafting your coaching offer, including options for 1-1, group classes, specialty classes, or remote coaching
✔️ How to structure an in person seminar that meets the needs of your targeted dynamic and expands your reach in the community.

Module 10: Business Dynamics

When I was getting started as a coach I had no idea how to run a business. It’s not something we are taught and if you look to social media it’s the wild, wild west of business advice!

In the final module I’ll cut through the noise you’re hearing online. You’ll learn business fundamentals and get the details you need on starting, building, and sustaining your coaching efforts.
